ART DECO, A SONY XPERIA THEME
This is another theme of my own design that I made working at Sony Mobile. Maybe the name is a little misleading, because it is more of a vintage desk than Art Deco (except maybe for the background).
I have a thing for chestnut vintage furniture, so that is where the idea came from. I also like digitalising the analogue, which you may have noticed in my theme designs.
I made the background inspired by a 1920's art deco radio. The rest is meant to portray different aspects of a vintage desk. On the apptray you can see an old desk pad, the navigation buttons are designed to look as old typewriter buttons.

My work on this was concept, graphics, design work. Every asset is hand made. Since I left Sony Mobile before the theme was published, I got help publishing it as well as designing the marketing materials by my team. They also helped with placing the icons on the little white keys, as seen below. My original version of the theme UI is above to the very left (when I was working on it, it was not yet possible to customise icon backgrounds).
The theme was apparently well received, because it got over 100 000 (!) installs and a rating of 4.4 on Google Play. Thats just crazy, to be honest. It was a free theme though, so maybe that was why.
