MURRAY, A SONY XPERIA THEME
I was employed as a student worker at Sony Mobile in Lund, when I was asked to design a Sony Xperia theme for the upcoming movie Hotel Transylvania 2. This actually resulted in three themes. Here you can find the second Hotel Transylvania 2 theme, Murray. Layer effect extravaganza.
So! Meet Murray and Blobby. Murray is a Mummy, and Blobby is, well... A blob. These are side characters in the movies that I likes, and I wanted to incorporate them in a theme. Quite literally. See, this is a kind of Yin and Yang theme, where Murray is one one side, and Blobby on the other. Murray is present on light theme version, and Blobby on the dark.
If you have seen the movie, you know that Blobby is like a big chunk of green jell-o, if you don't know him, you can get to know him here. I love Blobby. So I decided to do Blobby's parts of the theme as jelly-like as possible. On the home screen above, you can see that the buttons are small jelly bubbles with bones in them (because I figured that Blobby eats chicken sometimes, and you see right through him, so...)

The major part of the theme is dedicated to Blobby, with the lockscreen and light theme belonging to Murray the mummy. Feel free to zoom in on the images above to see all the little details. I had so much fun doing this theme.
Just as with the other Hotel Transylvania themes, it was designed for Sony Pictures. Materials provided were the portraits, the logo, the bones and the little skull. The rest was created by me, from concept , to graphic assets (buttons etc.) to design, to marketing material.
