SWIMMING, A SONY XPERIA THEME (BACKGROUND ILLUSTRATION)
This is another theme made by the Green during my time there. It was during the olympics, and we were asked by Sony Mobile to make four different sport themes. I designed the background illustrations for Swimming and for Cycling, while my coworker Per Green illustrated two others (I think they were called Running and Football).
When I think about swimming, I think about my grandmother. She went swimming every Thursday with her friends for 60 years, calling their group "Badarbrudarna" (The Bathing Chicks). Imagine that! She was young during the 30's, and I imagined her in her swimming outfit. So that was my inspiration for doing a background illustration with a touch from the art deco era, when my granny first began to swim with her friends.
