WE COME IN PEACE, A SONY XPERIA LIVE WALLPAPER THEME
As a student worker at Sony Mobile, I was given the opportunity to come up with and design my very own themes. This is one of mine. I was probably inspired by the film "Mars Attacks!" on this one. I really loved that film. The setup with the theme was that I wanted the UI to be as much as possible from the inside from an alien space ship. We come in peace, aak aak!
On the lockscreen above to the left, I placed a cow out on a nightly stroll. I don't know if cows generally admires the moon in the still of the night, but this cow did. As freaked out as she may seem. Unlock the screen and you end up on the homescreen where aliens now has landed, ready for mayhem.
Since this was a Live Wallpaper Theme, where one can do background animations, the cow is actually being beamed up to the spaceship. The navigation buttons are supposed to be lamps on the inside of a ship (looking out at the alien through a window).

In the drawer to the left, I designed the buttons to be in an alien language, but to still keep some of their basic shapes to be recognisable (the trashcan, heart etc.) If one looks closely there is also alien text on the apptray behind the side meny. The two screens to the right are how the UI for the light vs dark theme is designed.
My work on this one was everything graphic except marketing material, which my coworkers helped me with. They also helped out with the animations of the theme.
The theme got over 50 000 installs and a rating of 4.5 at Google Play (see below). Crazy stuff.
